— Ti Pi is back!

The long-time Ticonderoga restaurant, which closed several years ago, has re-opened with new ownership and a commitment to the community.

“We’re not here to make a quick buck,” said new owner Paul Armstrong, who has moved to town with his family to operate the eatery. “We’re here to make a living.”

Located at 24 Wayne Avenue, Ti Pi Restaurant is open 4 to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 4 to 9 p.m. Sunday. It can be reached at 558-1001.

While the former Ti Pi was known for its pizza, the new version of the restaurant wants to be more.

“I believe we make the best pizza around, but we’re more than that,” Armstrong said. “We’re an Italian restaurant with seafood, steaks, pasta and more.

“We’re trying to build a nice clientele,” he added. “We’re a 70-seat restaurant and hope people will come in and see what we’re all about. We want to build the dine-in clientele.”

Of course, TI Pi still delivers, though. Pizza and all items on the menu are available for take-out.

“I know the place is known for pizza, but we’ll deliver any meal,” Armstrong said.

Ti Pi is not new to Armstrong.

“My best friend was the long-time owner,” he said. “When he closed he put the place on the market. He finally convinced me it’s a good investment.”

So far, Armstrong said, the investment looks good.

“Things are going well,” he said. “We’re getting people and a lot of them are repeat customers, which is always a great sign.”
