Absentee ballot count - Essex

10:52 a.m The two candidates for the position of Essex Town Supervisore, incumbent Sharon Boisen and challenger Frank Walls, have started to inspect the ballots. The count is scheduled for 11 a.m.

11:09 a.m. After 10 ballots are counted, Boisen ups her lead to 159-143 (9-1 for Boisen).

11:18 a.m. After 17 ballots counted, Boisen has secured the most votes with a 19 vote advantage overall. She leads the absentee count 14-2, with one ballot not voting for the position.

11:20 a.m. After 20 votes counted, Boisen leads 167-144 (17-2, one no vote).

11:24 a.m. They are now opening the ballots from district two in Essex. With 25 counted, Boisen has a 20-4 lead in the absentee ballots and an overall - clinching - lead of 170-146.
